OUR PURPOSE
Built From a Problem
We Believed Should
Have Been Solved Already.
Story of inventory moving between warehouses, trucks, jobs, and people.
DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES, SAME RESPONSIBILITY
It started with inventory.
But it's bigger than tools.
Story of inventory moving between warehouses, trucks, jobs, and people.

From paper
- Manual tracking
- Missing documents
- Hard to know what happened
- No clear accountability
THE PAPERWORK WASN'T THE REAL PROBLEM
There were manifests.
There were sign-out sheets.
There were spreadsheets.
There were people doing their best to keep track of everything. The problem wasn’t the paperwork — it was what happened after it was completed.
A document could show what left the warehouse, but what happened three days later?
- Who had it?
- Was it still on the same job?
- Was it handed to someone else?
- Was it damaged, returned, transferred, or still sitting on a truck?
- List Item
The record existed. The follow-through didn’t.
THEN WE RAN INTO A BIGGER PROBLEM
Crew rotation doesn't stop.
And neither does the job.
Field operations don’t stop because one person’s rotation ends. The truck stays. The inventory stays. The job continues. But the person responsible for it changes.
How do you maintain accountability when responsibility changes hands?
A paper inventory list can show what should be there. It cannot create a reliable chain of responsibility between the person leaving and the person coming on.
We stopped looking at inventory as simply a counting problem. We started looking at it as a custody problem.
Visibility builds trust.
Accountability keeps work moving.
A DIFFERENT APPROACH
Technology came second.
The field process came first.
We didn’t start by asking, “How many features can we put into an inventory system?”
We started by asking, “What has to happen in the real world for accountability to continue?”
That meant designing around the moments where inventory is most likely to lose its trail:
- When it leaves
- When it arrives
- When it changes locations
- When it is issued
- When it changes hands
- When one rotation ends and another begins
